As you walk, you spy a light at a distance. As you walk closer, you are bedazzled by this array of traditional earthen diyas and modern glass tea light candle holders. As you walk past, you are greeted by the host, inviting you in.

This cosmic creation, with a central candle that rises like Mount Meru and concentric marigolds in water, is an absolute must for the entry table.

This bandanvar is inspired not only by the subcontinent, but also by the maple-lined Erie Canal welcoming the world inside. A more traditional look can be achieved with other leaf varieties.
